Register for Our Summer Institute for School Leaders

GSAFE is once again partnering with UW-Madison’s Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA) to provide a three-day professional development opportunity for current and future district leaders, classrooms teachers, and school staff. The course is sponsored and hosted by the Sun Prairie Area School District and will July 8-10, 2025 from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm daily.

Participants will explore how to discuss gender and sexuality and build belonging, establish trust, and ask affirming questions in K-12 schools. Topics include:

• Leveraging laws
• Developing local policies
• Applying the gender inclusivity leadership model
• Building staff capacity
• Identifying professional learning opportunities
• Setting instructional goals for staff
• Supporting staff in identifying appropriate curriculum resources
• Navigating family engagement
• Centering student voice in administrative decisions

Enrollees will also have access to continuing support throughout the year, including free participation in a monthly professional learning community.
