GSAFE is hiring a Director of Youth Programming and Family Engagement!

Position summary: GSAFE is seeking its first Director of Youth Programming and Family Engagement to support our team in connecting with LGBTQ+ youth and families across Wisconsin! The person in this position will work closely with GSAFE’s Co-Directors to create and implement strategies that support both LGBTQ+ youth and families within the context of education. 

Position:  Director of Youth Programming and Family Engagement

Youth Program Team Leadership (15 hours/week)

  • Cultivate cohesion and collaboration across youth program team;
  • Supervise, goal-set, evaluate, and provide 1-on-1 support to program team;
  • Monitor compliance with funding requirements and ensure timely reporting;
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with educators and other key program stakeholders;
  • Support youth program team efforts as needed, including site work and trainings.

Family Engagement (15 hours/week)

  • Establish systems and programs to support families of LGBTQ+ youth across Wisconsin;
  • Identify, develop, and deliver education for families of diverse racial, economic, geographic, and cultural backgrounds;
  • Advocate for families with school and other systems impacting LGBTQ+ youth.

Fundraising and Other Support (10 hours/week)

  • Support agency-wide events and online giving days;
  • Collaborate with GSAFE development team on grant writing and donor development;
  • Foster personal network of individuals and organizations aligned with GSAFE mission;
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Hours and schedule:

  • Full-time, exempt position
  • Schedule is largely business hours, with some flexibility for events that might occur on nights and weekends
  • Primarily work onsite at GSAFE, with some opportunity for remote work with directors’ approval; will need to attend some meetings / events in the Madison area.

Salary: $65,000-75,000
